Share

On Friday, July 21, seventeen Year 10 Melbourne High School psychology students had the opportunity to go to Melbourne University’s Florey Institute of Neuroscience to participate in the State Final of Australian Brain Bee Challenge, after placing in the top 50 in the state in the first round of the competition. Students had the opportunity to participate in neuroscience related activities, engage with neuroscience specialists, and meet new friends from other schools, such as Melbourne Grammar, Yarra Valley Grammar, John Monash Science School, and others. Students also had the opportunity to tour the neuroscience labs at the Florey Institute, participate in an insightful Q&A session with neuroscience students and PhD students, as well as industry professionals to gain invaluable knowledge about neuroscience. Overall, it was a great experience with MHS students making the final round of the competition.
