On August 17th, the highly-anticipated event on the MHS calendar finally arrived as the MHS Chinese Culture Club unveiled our annual Chinese Food Stall. Months of meticulous planning culminated in the successful organisation of this delightful culinary extravaganza, which played a pivotal role in our school’s newly inaugurated Cultural Week.
This vibrant showcase of Chinese culture featured an array of delectable culinary delights that left taste buds tingling and hearts full of appreciation. From the savory satisfaction of dumplings and spring onion pancakes to the aromatic allure of fried rice and fried noodles, the menu was a testament to the rich tapestry of Chinese gastronomy. Soft and fluffy buns, crispy spring rolls, succulent dim sims, and refreshing bubble tea completed the feast, offering a delectable journey through the diverse flavors of China.
What made this event even more special was the collaborative effort of both current and former parents and students who came together to prepare and serve these mouthwatering dishes. Their dedication and culinary prowess ensured that our food stall was a resounding success, with every last morsel being devoured by eager attendees, resulting in a sold-out affair.
As if the tantalizing dishes weren’t enough to leave a lasting impression, the MCCC (MHS Chinese Culture Club) provided for a mesmerizing traditional Chinese Lion Dance performance. This captivating spectacle, replete with vibrant colors and rhythmic movements, left teachers, students, and parents alike in awe, further enhancing the sense of cultural immersion that permeated the event.
