RUOK Week

Share

Over the past few weeks, Student Wellbeing Action Group and MHS SRC have been working together to produce RUOK week – a week of continuous events to raise awareness for mental health and offer a chance for students to destress before exams. The week consisted of various competitions within the intraschool community, a petting zoo for students to interact with animals, a crepe truck that raises money to fight against youth homelessness, notes written by students that show their appreciation for aspects of their lives and more. The week was ultimately a success, bringing together the wider school community at large to celebrate the importance of mental health and reaching out to those around us in a newfound way. Students were encouraged to open difficult conversations about mental health with those around them, and we hope this acts as a platform to ease the discussions around important topics. Thank you to everyone who participated or helped throughout the week.
