EAG Pedal-Powered Movie Night

Share

On Friday 23 February, a group of MHS students gathered at the Melbourne Girls’ College for the annual pedal-powered movie night, and the first event for MHS’s Environmental Action Group. The night was brought together by bicycles and rowing machines as students, parents and teachers rode their hearts out for the amazing Barbie movie. The film was powered 100% by pedal and rowing power with the intention of a zero carbon community night. It was filled with great involvement and entertainment from start to finish with food stalls, a mini book vendor, a dunk tank, on-stage performance and even free pizza for the students that came. The night was a massive success and the funds raised went towards MGC’s efforts in solar energy and increasing local biodiversity in the Birrarung corridor. We would like to thank the Environment Captains at MGC and look to work with them in the future.
