We sing because we are Melbourne High School, and we are Melbourne High School because we sing! The C. J. Breen Memorial House Choral & Instrumental Competition will be held at the Melbourne Town Hall on Thursday March 21st. All members of the Melbourne High School community – parents, friends, old boys and staff – are invited to attend. No tickets are required, so just come along.
The Instrumental Competition commences at 9.30 am and after a brief interval will be followed by the Choral Competition at 11.30 am. It will conclude at 1.30 pm. Yarra is the reigning choral champion and Forrest the instrumental winner from 2023, but both will face strong competition to maintain their places. Como last won chorals in 2019 and Forrest in 2014. Waterloo was the defending champion from 2022 when they were defeated by Yarra last year for their first win since 2011. Who will it be this year? Come along on March the 21st to find out. You will be amazed by the virtuosity on display!
