Subject Planning for 2025

Share

Although it sometimes seems as if the year is just getting going, some students have started visualising their possible pathways in 2025 and beyond.

Moving into the senior years of secondary school gives students a lot more autonomy in the direction of study they wish to pursue. In the next few months, students will need to actively think about their interests, aptitudes, and aspirations, and make some decisions around their next steps on their learning journey. This is something that will require an amount of research, thought and self-reflection. And the time and space to do this. There are a number of other events held by the school to assist in this decision-making process.

It is important at this stage of the process that students are open-minded and investigate many options and possibilities. Students will have information from the Morrisby assessments, completed last year. Students will also have a taste of their Semester 2 subjects prior to making decisions.

Key Dates for Subject Selection for Year 10:

Universities hold their Open Days from late July and into August. Check their websites for more details. Most universities pitch their information to students in year 10 and year 12, but all students are welcome.  Universities will also produce Year 10 Guide to 2027 Entry booklets. Students are encouraged to avail themselves of these opportunities and resources.

There will be more information about this process during Term 3. Our aim is to set students on the path that is right for them.
