Transition to VCE in 2026 – Planning for the Future

Share

As Year 10 students look ahead to 2026 and 2027, it’s time to start thinking seriously about which VCE subjects will best support their interests, strengths, and future goals. To guide students—and support parents and carers—a series of important events and resources are planned.

Thursday 31 July – VCE Information & Futures Expo 2:30 – 6pm

On this day, Year 10 students and their families are invited to:

  • Meet VCE subject teachers to ask questions and learn about course content.
  • Explore the VCE Expo showcasing the breadth of subjects on offer.
  • Attend information sessions that explain what the VCE involves, and how to build a VCE program tailored to YOU.

Tip: Keep an open mind—many VCE subjects are entirely new at this level (e.g. Legal Studies, Sociology, Politics), while others may feel quite different from previous years (like PE, General Maths, or History). This is your chance to discover new interests and opportunities.

The VCE Handbook will also be available during the Expo to support your subject planning.
