On Friday the 16th of Feb, the MHS SRC hosted students from John Monash Science School for the first round of a much anticipated exchange, providing an opportunity for both schools to share the experiences of their environment. The day was filled with collaboration from the respective leadership of both teams and offered a way for students to gain a deeper understanding into how each school works, consisting of planning, discussing and highlighting issues from both schools that can be tackled as a wider community. These discussions centred on how each school can foster an environment of diversity, inclusion and acceptance. The students from both schools held an open discussion about what makes the elements of their school unique; and what can be learnt from both schools to integrate into their own space. Ultimately, the experience was an incredible opportunity for the respective teams of both schools to broaden their network, and we look forward to the next round of the exchange!
