Celebrating an historic event… unveiling of the Principal portrait
On Thursday 13 June members of the Melbourne High School Foundation Ltd hosted an event to unveil the portrait of the 13th principal, Mr Jeremy Ludowyke. Last year the Foundation approved funding to commission artist Warwick Gilbert to paint the portrait.
The project was steered by School Council member and Melbourne High School Old Boys’ Association immediate past president Mr Peter Stathopoulos. A sincere thank you to Peter for the work undertaken to oversee the various stages of the project and bring it to fruition.
The event brought together members from all parts of our community including current and past students and staff.
Year 9 and 10 Entry Exams
The Year 9 Entry Exam was conducted on Saturday 15 June. As always, there is significant interest. Thank you to Mr Andrew Sloan for overseeing the logistics.
Combined Mac Rob / MHS Play – Much Ado About Nothing
Work has begun on this year’s combined school play. This year the MacRobertson Girls’ High School will take the lead role in organising and hosting the play. A sincere thank you to Ms Tsilimidos for overseeing the staff supervision and liaison between the two schools. Opening night is 29 August. Make sure you put the date in your diary. Ticket information will come out soon.
